Holly White worked with other artists to make a 'film-in-a-day', inspired by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye’s practice of completing a painting in one day.
Holly developed the ideas of fiction and movement in Lynette’s exhibition 'Verses After Dusk' and turned the park into a film set for a futuristic space party. Children and adults worked with a team of artists to create their own imaginary identities.
We took inspiration from Holly's work as it showed us the limitlessness of children's imaginations and how they can, and often do, take control of their own creativity in a way that adults rarely do. We wanted to create the same kind of feeling and environment for the kids taking part in our workshops.
